On Sunday, July 15th, The Vinguard is hosting WINeFare, a tasting celebrating women who work with natural wine. Most of the proceeds from the event are benefiting Soufra, a documentary film that follows the incredible journey of Palestinian and Syrian women from the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp in Lebanon who started a catering business and food truck in Beirut.

The cookbook, Soufra: Recipes from a Refugee Food Truck, will be available for purchase during the tasting. Half of the proceeds from the cookbook sales are going toward building a Children’s center and school inside the refugee camp. Proceeds from the tickets and the cookbook sales will run through Openroads.org who is the fiscal sponsor for both Soufra film and the Soufra Cookbook.
