OSLOVE Film Festival
Norway welcomes the first annual OSLOVE Film Festival in Oslo, October 3-6, 2019. OSLOVE Film Festival is one with a focus on the magic that extends beyond the screen. A festival where film is the center, but the goal is to create a greater experience. Their intention is to bring back the magic that comes when people watch film together, and use the inspiration they get from the film and its message to better understand the world we live in, build bridges and create change in society.
The evening will start with a big get together dinner at Vippa! Around long-tables, food will be shared from the Middle East prepared by refugees in Oslo, creating a space for connection before the film takes the audience to the refugee camp south of Beirut. We are excited to announce that Thomas Morgan, the director of the film, will be in Norway to present the film.
After the film local refugees in Norway share their stories and engage with the audience about how it was for them to come to Norway, as refugees. There will also be organizations involved that provide an update about the situation in and around Syria now, and share ways the audience can drive impact. The night will end with local refugees entertaining with their music as passions are shared. This is a night in which OSLOVE Film Fest hopes for many friendships across borders to bloom!
