Join us for the UK premiere of Soufra, which follows the inspirational story of intrepid social entrepreneur, Mariam Shaar – a refugee who has spent her entire life in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp south of Beirut, Lebanon.

A parent and baby, women only screening. The sound won’t be loud and lights will be up a little. (Please note this is not a children’s film, but is suitable for young audiences)

6.15pm – 8.10pm Screening with Post-show Talk

Alison Surtees, from In Place of War, will talk through the Creative and Social Entrepreneur Programme, a certified programme of training in post-conflict zones, sharing the ideas of “getting things off the ground, when you have nothing”. The presentation will  be interactive with lots of chances to ask questions.
