Join us for the UK premiere of Soufra, which follows the inspirational story of intrepid social entrepreneur, Mariam Shaar – a refugee who has spent her entire life in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp south of Beirut, Lebanon.

Alison Surtees, from In Place of War, will talk through the Creative and Social Entrepreneur Programme, a certified programme of training in post-conflict zones, sharing the ideas of “getting things off the ground, when you have nothing”. The presentation will be interactive with lots of chances to ask questions.
